The general cleaning and packing continued in camp today, and the generator was repaired. At 18.43 p.m. the skier arrived and the cargo was loaded. The plane needed 4 attempts to take off, however it was heavily loaded, including the Trackmaster which was being flown out. The grooming of the skiway continued in the evening after the plane had taken off.

Daily life
So finally the last day in camp ! The last persons in camp were flow to Kangerlussuaq today and the camp closed. 3 hours before take-off the main generator was switched off and the injection pump taken out. The main generator has been running for 8569hrs, which corresponds to almost a year. Another smaller generator provided the power for the camp until take-off. 2 hours before departure the antenna cable was cut around the snow melter....This was not good, since the camp must have radio contact with the skier and Kangerlussuaq until the last minute. Therefore the antenna cable was quickly repaired and communication could continue. Operating in Greenland never leaves out excitement.
The Hercules plane arrived at 20:33 West Greenland time, at 21:36 all persons and retro cargo were onboard. The skier was airborne in first attempt without using JATO's at 21:46. And the plane arrived in Kangerlussuaq airport at 23:52.
