Beautiful weather, up to -13C during day time

First "drilling", however no core was drilled, the hole was just filtered for possible ice flakes.

Our "traffic sign" has been put back up, so we can see the distance to the most "important" destinations. The picture shows the sign in 1998. 

Tuesday, May 23rd

Daily life
One of the persons in the camp broke a tooth and had to have a long-distance consultation with his dentist.
Science
The new core buffer is now being used. Some of the last cores drilled during the last season have been installed in the new buffer, while they are waiting to be analyzed, cut up, packed and sent back to Copenhagen. The drill is being tested, and minor repairs are being performed.
